Privacy policy

Kickwatt keeps your data on your iPhone and Apple Watch. It has no account, no servers, no analytics and no ads, and it doesn't send your data to me or to anyone else.
Health data
With your permission, Kickwatt reads these from Apple Health:
- On iPhone: your date of birth, sex, heart rate, resting heart rate, cardio fitness (VO₂ max) and past workouts. Kickwatt uses them to work out your training paces, race predictions and heart-rate zones.
- On Apple Watch, during a run: heart rate, distance, running speed and active energy. Kickwatt uses them to coach your pace and effort.
Kickwatt saves each run to Apple Health as a workout with its route. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing and is never shared with third parties.
Location
While you run, the watch uses your location to record your route, which appears on the run's map in Kickwatt and in the Fitness app. Kickwatt doesn't use location at any other time.
Where your data is kept
Your workouts, settings and run history are stored in Kickwatt's own files on your devices and pass directly between your iPhone and Apple Watch. Data saved to Apple Health is held by Apple and handled under Apple's privacy policy, including any iCloud syncing you have turned on.
Deleting your data
Deleting Kickwatt from your iPhone and Apple Watch removes everything it stored. Runs saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app, and you can withdraw Kickwatt's access to Health at any time in Settings.
Children
Kickwatt isn't aimed at children and doesn't knowingly collect anything from them. As above, it collects nothing from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
